Simon joined Ascent Professional Services in April 2011 and has spent over a decade working across the full Management Consultancy spectrum, covering Strategy, Operations, Supply Chain & Procurement, Change Management, Transformation, and more. One of the most rewarding parts of his job? Seeing some of his early placements now thriving in leadership roles across a range of businesses.
He holds a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying from The University of Reading (2005–2008) and spent 2.5 years as a Surveyor before making the leap into recruitment at Ascent—a move that turned out to be a perfect fit.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons (born in 2020 and 2023), who keep him on his toes. When he’s not busy with dad duties, he enjoys cycling, cooking, and skiing. As for TV, he’d love to unwind with a good film or a classic series—but let’s be honest, Peter Rabbit is usually what’s on screen in his house!
